卖家的描述
Impressive original cast iron coat of arms of the USSR, produced as a large architectural emblem for a state institution, industrial enterprise, or administrative building.
This striking Soviet emblem features the classic hammer and sickle over the globe, surrounded by wheat sheaves and crowned with the red star. Above the emblem appear the large letters “СССР”, while the lower section incorporates crossed industrial tools — a design element often associated with Soviet industry and labour symbolism.
Such heavy cast iron plaques were typically mounted on factory entrances, government buildings, workshops, or administrative offices during the Soviet period. They served as powerful visual symbols of the state and the industrial identity of the USSR.
The piece is made of solid cast iron, giving it significant weight and presence. Its authentic aged surface shows natural oxidation and patina developed over decades, adding strong character and historical atmosphere.
Large Soviet architectural emblems like this are increasingly sought after by collectors of Cold War memorabilia, Soviet industrial design, and political history artifacts.
This example is particularly attractive due to its size, weight, and sculptural relief, making it an excellent display object for collectors or interior decoration in industrial or historical style.
