Serre-livres paire oiseaux chantants signés TEDD, marbre et régule
Paire de serre-livres en régule (alliage de bronze) patiné bronze antique et doré, sur socles en marbre blanc veiné gris. Modèle figurant deux oiseaux (probablement rossignols ou passereaux stylisés) perchés sur une branche fleurie, becs ouverts en position de chant, plumes détaillées avec effet de mouvement. Signature incisée « TEDD » sur le socle de chaque pièce (artiste ou fondeur belge ou français, période Art Déco ou années 1920-1930). Bases rectangulaires en marbre poli, bords légèrement chanfreinés. Provenance : collection privée belge.
État : excellent, régule sans casse ni manque, patine intacte avec belle brillance dorée et bronze, pas d’oxydation verte ni de piqûres, oiseaux bien fixés sans jeu, marbre sans fêlure, éclat ni cassure, surfaces polies sans rayures profondes ni taches, poids équilibré pour une bonne stabilité. Poids unitaire : 650 g. Dimensions par serre-livres : hauteur totale 12 cm, longueur de base 11 cm, largeur de base 7,5 cm.

Bookends pair singing birds signed TEDD, marble and regulus
Pair of bookends in regulus (bronze alloy) with antique bronze and gilt patina, on white veined grey marble bases. Model depicting two birds (likely stylized nightingales or songbirds) perched on a flowering branch, beaks open in singing pose, detailed feathers with movement effect. Incised signature “TEDD” on each base (Belgian or French artist or foundry, Art Deco period or 1920s-1930s). Rectangular polished marble bases with slightly chamfered edges. Provenance: private Belgian collection.
Condition: excellent, regulus without breaks or losses, patina intact with beautiful gilt and bronze shine, no green oxidation or pitting, birds firmly attached without play, marble without cracks, chips or breaks, polished surfaces without deep scratches or stains, balanced weight for good stability.
