Description:
A rectangular Egyptian faience plaque amulet modeled in low relief. The iconography depicts a standing deity in profile facing right, wearing a headdress topped with a solar or lunar disk (stylistically comparable to Thoth or a solar deity such as Ra-Horakhty/Horus). The amulet features an intact suspension loop at the top, indicating it was intended to be sewn onto mummy wrappings or worn as a protective talisman.

The artifact is a classic example of Late Dynastic open-mold (single-valve) manufacturing, evidenced by its completely flat and unworked reverse. From a material perspective, the piece exhibits intense and uniform porosity. This is the result of the natural, long-term degradation of the original alkaline glaze, which has worn away over millennia, exposing the authentic granular siliceous core (crushed quartz) underneath.
