The tooth tips are fully intact, and the skull shows very few fractures overall, indicating an excellent degree of bone mineralization. Even more remarkable is the preservation of several cervical vertebrae. Saber-toothed cat skulls from a single individual that retain associated cervical vertebrae are exceedingly rare.
