卖家的描述
authentic early 20th-century (circa 1920s) French Art Deco porcelain vase by Paul Milet (1870–1950) for the Manufacture de Sèvres.
The porcelain body features a classic flambé glaze with a rich, mottled iridescent finish in shades of deep blue, turquoise, and green — a signature technique of Milet, who specialized in these lustrous, lava-like effects. It is elegantly mounted in ornate gilt bronze with large decorative side handles (in a foliate/classical cartouche style), a patterned rim, and a structured base, giving it a luxurious, sculptural presence typical of high-end Sèvres collaborations from the period.
Mark confirmation: The underside shows the exact “MP SÈVRES” mark in black within a circle of dots, which Paul Milet used from c. 1900–1930 (after his father Optat Milet’s death; earlier family pieces used different marks like “PM”). This is the standard identifier for his work and matches countless verified examples.
Height 22 cm;
Width 18cm (from handle to handle);
Diameter 9cm (at the top);
Weight 1,222 g (the substantial weight comes from the heavy bronze mounts).
The piece is in excellent original condition — no chips, cracks, repairs, or significant wear visible on the glaze or mounts.
