Appearance: Intense garnet with orange or "brick" reflections, typical of aged Nebbiolo.

Palate: Full-bodied and austere. You can expect firm yet silky tannins and bright acidity. Dominant flavors include black plum, menthol, and tobacco.
Finish: Long, concentrated, and accompanied by a lingering hint of almonds.

Maturity: This wine is currently mature and enjoyable. While some critics originally estimated a window through 2020, recent tastings suggest it still has excellent life and could potentially be enjoyed through 2030 or beyond if stored well.

Preparation: It is highly recommended to decant for 1–2 hours before serving to allow the aromatics to open up and the tannins to soften.
