The form is a classic straight-sided cylindrical shape with a flat lid, creating a clean and balanced silhouette. Unlike black lacquer examples, this piece celebrates the natural character of the wood. The surface is finished in a transparent amber-brown lacquer that enhances the rich, vertical wood grain, giving the body depth and movement. The grain pattern runs elegantly around the vessel, emphasizing its cylindrical form.
Delicately inlaid motifs of slender leaves and small stems appear on both the lid and lower body.
