Authentic Russian antique icon depicting the holy monk saints Zosima and Savvatij, founders of the Solovki Monastery, represented facing forward with halo and monastic robes. The saint on the left holds a scroll, symbolizing spiritual doctrine. At the top, Christ blessing among the clouds.

The composition is enriched by a multicolored ornamental decoration with stylized floral motifs typical of late 19th-century popular Russian production.

Good overall condition.
Signs of wear compatible with age, small areas of color loss.
A hole in the lower right part is present, visible but non-structural, and a drill hole on the back of the panel.

Inscriptions:
In Cyrillic characters identifying the saints (“Св. Зосима и Савватий”), present on both front and back.

Russia, late 19th century (c. 1870–1900)
