NO RESERVE - CHINESE FAMILLE VERTE OVER BLACK GROUND GU SHAPE BISCUIT VASE, H:32CM, 19TH C.

Nice relief work on biscuit famille verte Gu-shape "folded" vase on black ground presenting 2 cartouches on both sides inside of which are beautifully detailed birds among various flowers.

An appealing deep black ground with scrolls and flowers on the body, geometric designs frieze along top and bottom rims.

An elegant and good size vase presenting a fine relief work and an appealing colour combinasion for a very decorative and antique object.

Tongzhi mark and period underneath the foot rim.

Condition: After VERY carefull checks under natural and UV lights: A small & professional repair on one scalopped edge. 1 chip inside the mouth and 2 superficial ones along the edge. A hairline along the foot rim (not going up). Small kiln flaws, minor wears and light enamel losses, all commensurate with age and period.
In overall GOOD CONDITION and STRICTLY AS PER VISUALS.
