产自卓越的1978年里奥哈年份，被马尔凯斯·德·里斯卡尔的酿酒学家评为“优秀”。酒选自位于里奥哈阿拉维萨区埃尔西戈酒厂周边的极老藤蔓所采自的葡萄园所制。

发酵与陈酿过程在一只大型木桶中进行，该木桶可追溯至酒厂创始时期的1858年。随后酒在古老的木桶中陈放五至六年，并以19世纪里奥哈传统的酒桶对酒桶转移法定期进行分装。无过滤，直接从酒桶手工灌装，一瓶瓶灌装。该酒一直存放在酒厂的历史性旧酒窖，被称为“El Cementerio”——“墓地”——直到2003年。
