卖家的描述
Our team acquired a Panerai 5218-207/A Slytech dial in Februar 2026. Following a detailed examination, our expert concluded that this is an original dial from the Vendôme period that had previously undergone restoration in a private workshop.
As visible in the photographs, the white lume dots at the sides of the dial were refilled unevenly by hand during the earlier restoration, with slight overflow affecting parts of the black surrounds. At the same time, the main dial printing remains straight and consistent with known Vendôme-era characteristics.
It should also be noted that typography from that period was not always perfectly uniform in size and shape, and slight variations in font execution can be found even among examples of the same reference.
The hands were acquired together with the dial and also appear to have been manually restored, as their lume shows an even glow consistent with the dial.
Our stock of vintage ETA 6497-1 movements (Panerai OP I type) is ideally suited to this model, as the original Slytech watches used the same base calibre, differing primarily in the engraving.
Unfortunately, we were unable to source an original Vendôme case, as that version features a double-sided strap attachment system. We therefore used an original Panerai post-Vendôme case instead, which is fully compatible with this Slytech dial and this calibre.
To highlight the work of our studio, we used our own case backs, manufactured in our watch studio and designed in a Sylvester Stallone-inspired style, as a tribute to the man who originally acquired these models for himself and his team. The case back also features one of Stallone’s well-known phrases associated with these watches.
Summary of the watch and its components:
1. Dial and hands: original Panerai Slytech parts, previously restored by an independent private workshop.
2. Case, crystal, and crown-protecting device: original Panerai post-Vendôme components, using the later single-sided strap attachment system.
3. Movement: original swiss ETA 6497-1, mechanically identical in specification to the calibre used in the original Panerai 5218-207/A, except for the exclusive Slytech engraving.
4. Case back, strap, and presentation box: produced in our CFP studio.
This watch should be understood as a professionally assembled and restored project built around original Panerai components, combined with original Swiss components, later original Panerai parts, and custom-made elements produced by our studio.
