About the Lisa Lyon:
Lisa Lyon was an American bodybuilder and model and one of the pioneers of women’s bodybuilding in the late 1970s and early 1980s.

She gained fame after winning one of the earliest women’s professional bodybuilding competitions in 1979 and helped bring attention to female strength training at a time when the sport was still developing.

She was also known as an art model, especially through her collaboration with photographer Robert Mapplethorpe, which highlighted the artistic side of the muscular female form.

Lyon is widely regarded as an important figure in the early history of women’s fitness and bodybuilding culture.
