ABOUT THE ARTWORK
“Le Geais” captures a moment of quiet vigilance — a bird perched, alert, observing its surroundings with precision and calm.

The jay stands firmly on its branch, embodying both elegance and awareness. Its posture suggests readiness, a subtle tension between stillness and movement, as if it could take flight at any moment.
The composition is intentionally minimal, allowing the viewer to focus entirely on the subject. This simplicity reinforces the strength of the silhouette and the refined detailing of the feathers, revealed through the stencil work.

The blue tones dominate the scene, creating a fresh and serene atmosphere. These cool shades evoke nature, air and freedom, while also giving the artwork a contemporary and decorative dimension that integrates easily into modern interiors.

As in all my work, this piece is built on a dialogue between precision and spontaneity. The bird is meticulously crafted through hand-cut stencil layers, capturing intricate textures and contrasts, while the background is created instinctively with raw gestures and layered materials.

Created using my signature double-layer stencil technique, the artwork is digitally designed, then entirely hand-cut before being painted with spray paint and acrylic. Each background is unique, ensuring that every piece remains one of a kind.
