This painting presents an urban scene full of character that seems to transport us to a quiet corner of an old village. The composition unfolds under a porticoed structure formed by large stone arches that extend across the foreground, creating a sense of depth and very marked perspective. These arches support a wooden roof that casts soft shadows on the ground, providing an intimate and sheltered atmosphere. Through the openings between the pillars, the facades of several houses around the square can be glimpsed, suggesting an everyday environment where traditional architecture dominates the landscape.

The stone columns are one of the most important elements of the scene.
