Space Age Floor Lamp, Italy, 1970s

Important Italian floor lamp from the 1970s, featuring a large Murano blown glass globe with a spiral decoration in orange tones on a milky translucent background.

The generously sized spherical diffuser (Ø 40 cm) showcases refined craftsmanship with a craquelé effect and tiny internal bubbles, creating an organic texture and a soft, enveloping light diffusion. The dynamic, fluid orange band evokes the Space Age aesthetic typical of Italian design from the period.

The globe is supported by an adjustable chromed metal stem with a knurled side ring, resting on a circular white marble base (Ø 30 cm), likely Carrara, which provides stability and an elegant material contrast.

The combination of Venetian art glass and a modernist structure fully reflects the formal language of 1970s production.
