Antique stained glass windows (2) – Art Nouveau / Jugendstil – ca. 1900 – farmhouse, Zeeland
⸻
Description
A set of two original stained glass windows with an arched top, dating from around 1900. Designed in a style with clear Art Nouveau (Jugendstil) influences, visible in the elegant flowing ornaments combined with a more traditional geometric layout.
The windows feature textured clear glass with distinctive green border panels and subtle red accents. The deep green glass creates a warm and atmospheric light effect.
The set originates from an old farmhouse in the province of Zeeland (The Netherlands), where they were used in an outbuilding/stable.
A remarkable detail: these windows survived the North Sea flood of 1953, adding unique historical significance.
They were acquired directly from the family who owned the farmhouse since its construction, supporting their authenticity and provenance.
