This piece is a Yashichida Oribe flat tea bowl made by Tanaka Genhiko of the Kikusen kiln.
It features the characteristic soft white clay of Yashichida Oribe, decorated with green glaze and iron-painted motifs, creating a balance of subtle elegance and visual richness. Fine crackle (crazing) can be seen inside, enhancing the unique texture typical of Oribe ware.
The open and shallow form of a hira-chawan (flat tea bowl) makes it suitable for use throughout the year.
Comes with the original signed wooden box.
