Part of the genre of anime known as shonen (series aimed at boys with a center on adventure and fighting), Hunter x Hunter has gained a huge following thanks to its sensational world-building, complex characters, and its intricate power system. This series saw the first adaptation of Yoshihiro Togashi's story to anime form, and it was later adapted by Madhouse studio in 2011, attracting many new fans to the series.
