Jack Lenor Larsen founded his pioneering textile studio in New York during the 1950s. He invested great passion into sourcing global inspiration and exploring traditional and contemporary weaving techniques.

Two decorative cushions made with a highly textured fabric by Larsen "Kyoto" in "Marine" color (51% Linen, 37% Cotton, 12% Polyester) with backside made with a velvet fabric in blue color, an extra quality velvet from the Premium Collection.

Embroidered cordwork intertwines across a relaxed linen ground, creating a highly textured fabric reminiscent of the braiding of natural fibres in Japanese basketry. Pleasing to the eye and the hand this motif was inspired by a historical framed lacquer panel.
