By the late 1960s and early 1970s, the Conquest models underwent a noticeable stylistic evolution, moving toward sharper case shapes and cleaner, more modern dials while maintaining their reputation as reliable everyday watches.
This reference 1557-1 is a representative example from that transitional period, featuring a manual-wind movement with date complication, allowing for a slimmer and more elegant profile compared to automatic versions. The angular tonneau-style case, paired with a white sunburst dial and applied baton indices, reflects the early 1970s design direction.
