大型古董/复古喀什米尔部落吊坠 — 手锤打制银合金 — 34克
Origin & Cultural Context:
A striking, authentic tribal pendant originating from the Kashmir region (Himalayan borderlands of Northern India). This piece is a classic example of the regional metalwork traditionally worn by nomadic tribes as a central chest ornament or part of a ceremonial headpiece.
Design & Craftsmanship:
The pendant features a large, hand-wrought shield-shaped form. The front is densely decorated with the traditional "Circle-and-Dot" (eye motif) punchwork, a symbolic pattern used throughout the Himalayan and Central Asian regions for protection and adornment.
Embellishments:
The piece is set with three prominent cabochons:
Two deep red stones at the top.
One turquoise-blue stone at the base.
These settings traditionally imitate coral and turquoise, the most prized stones in Himalayan jewelry, representing life force and spiritual purity.
Technical Details:
Material: High-grade tribal brass alloy and silverplated (typical for the region).
Weight: approx. 34 grams.
Dimensions: approx. 8 cm in diameter.
Attachment: The reverse features two sturdy, integrated metal loops (bails), allowing the piece to be strung on a thick cord, leather strap, or a heavy silver chain.
Condition:
The pendant is in very good vintage condition with a beautiful, deep aged patina that highlights the intricate punchwork. No structural damage. The stones are securely set.
