A superb, complete set of the Order of the Crown of Romania (Ordinul Coroana României). This specimen is a Type I (model with royal monograms), instituted by King Carol I in 1881.
Based on the craftsmanship and the specific hallmarks of the court jeweler, this piece dates from the Belle Époque (circa 1890-1910). This era is highly regarded by collectors for its superior artisanal quality compared to the simplified post-1932 productions.
