MiLo – “Vector Shift”
A work by Amsterdam-based artist MiLo (1976).
Vector Shift explores direction, rhythm, and subtle variation within a structured system. White linear forms move across a deep black surface, repeating in parallel before bending at sharp angles. The composition suggests order and continuity, while small irregularities reveal the hand behind the work.
Rather than strict geometry, the lines carry a slight organic tension—never perfectly aligned, yet clearly intentional. This balance between control and variation gives the painting a sense of movement, as if the structure is gently adjusting or redirecting itself.
The work sits between geometric abstraction and a more intuitive, hand-drawn language, evoking pathways, signals, or spatial constructions without settling into a fixed interpretation.
The painting can be hung in any orientation, allowing shifts in direction and visual rhythm depending on its presentation.
The painting will be rolled up and shipped in a sturdy tube or box, without frame, and includes a signed certificate of authenticity.
