About the painting:

“Twilight (I)” captures the quiet threshold between day and night, where sea and sky dissolve into one another in a restrained, contemplative harmony. The composition is deliberately minimal, inviting the viewer to linger in the openness of the horizon while subtle tonal shifts create a sense of depth and gentle movement.

Luminous blues unfold across the canvas, deepening toward the water and softening as they rise into a pale, light-filled sky. A delicate horizontal line anchors the scene, suggesting distant waves, while faint vertical traces evoke reflections or fleeting marks on the surface - gestures that feel both subtle and intentional.

About the artist:

Andreea Zecheru is a known abstract artist based in Hamburg, Germany. Many of her works are held in private and institutional collections across Europe and the US.
