History and Prestige
This sumptuous Limoges porcelain service bears the prestigious signature of Charles Field Haviland (1832-1896). This set was manufactured by the GDA (Gérard, Dufraisseix et Abbot) factory during the first half of the 20th century (period 1900-1941, estimated dating circa 1920-1930).
The design is a timeless classic: the "Filets Faits Main" (Hand-painted gold rims) model. Each gold line was meticulously hand-applied by master gilders, ensuring the elegance and artisanal quality of every piece.
Set Composition (35 pieces):
12 Cups & 12 Saucers: Mint condition.
15 Dinner plates (25.5 cm): Some mint, others with normal signs of wear on the gilding.
6 Dessert plates (21 cm): Mint condition.
1 Coffee / Teapot with lid: Mint condition.
1 Tureen / Vegetable dish with lid: Mint condition.
Condition:
Excellent overall condition. No cracks, no chips, no nicks. The porcelain is exceptionally white and fine.
