蒙特库科将这种温和而易塑的氛围呈现出来，准备迎接并照看读者，保留阅读时刻在城市喧嚣中的亲密感。
在蒙特库科呈现的图像中，艺术家还赋予作品更深的意义，使之与“阅读”及文化这一概念相得益彰。
这组拍摄的读者与建筑以及散布在我们的艺术城市中的宏伟艺术作品交织，形成一种人与艺术、思考之间的静默而私密的对话。
所描绘的人物多在阅读时被随意捕捉，背对着人群，常常对自己成为艺术品的一部分毫无察觉。
克劳迪奥·蒙特库科用罗伯特·杜瓦诺的话来讲述他的项目：
“我试图展示的，是一个让我感到舒服的世界，在那里人们会变得友善，我会找到期望得到的温柔。我的照片就像一份证明，证明这个世界确实存在。”
