- I created my image for Falen Art with the aim of building a unique, modern and elegant visual identity capable of representing my artistic work and values.
After studying graphic design in Namur and a strong taste for travel and cultural diversity, Natalie Matis’s vocation for porcelain was born in China during a trip.
Upon returning to Belgium, she joined the Porcepolis workshop in Brussels, where she deepened her particular taste for porcelain; she loves this material for its whiteness, its nobility, its translucency, its intimacy with glaze and its softness.
She offers a range of decorative objects with a minimalist design.
For several years, Nathalie Matis refined her ceramics studies in various studios and at the Beaux-Arts Academy of Braine L’Alleud with ceramist Geert van Der Borght.
Passionate about ceramics, she explores various techniques self-tundamentally and has a marked fascination for raku, a mysterious meeting of mastery and randomness, a fragile adventure between the ceramicist’s dream and metamorphosis.
