It is the great Italian wine par excellence, made from pure Nebbiolo grapes.
It originates in the heart of the Langhe, a few kilometers south of the city of Alba, in the territory of 11 municipalities that follow one another in a picturesque landscape of hills, carved by the expert hand of man and watched over by imposing medieval castles, including Barolo, which gave its name to the wine now famous throughout the world. Thanks to the tenacity of Camillo Benso, Count of Cavour and Giulia Colbert Falletti, the last Marchioness of Barolo, they began producing, in the mid-19th century, an exceptionally rich and harmonious wine, destined to become the ambassador of the Piedmont of the Savoy family in the courts of Europe. Its organic version, intended for smaller production in terms of quantity, preserves and enhances the distinctive traits of this iconic wine.
