A striking and finely crafted antique cross pendant, set with five faceted pear-cut almandine garnets and one round garnet at the centre. The four arms of the cross are each formed by a large pear-shaped garnet, creating a bold and elegant devotional jewel. An additional pear-cut garnet is set in the bail, adding a refined finishing detail characteristic of high-quality Victorian goldsmithing.

The garnets display the deep, rich red colour typical of natural almandine, with exceptional transparency and brilliance when held to the light. Each pear-shaped stone measures approximately 17 × 10 mm, with an estimated total gemstone weight of approximately 26–27 carats.

The settings feature delicate milgrain (beaded) borders throughout, a hallmark of fine goldsmithing of the period. The reverse shows an open-back construction, a technique widely used in the 19th century to maximise light transmission through the stones and enhance their natural colour.
