卖家的描述
Remarkable cascade pendant lamp "Maxi Globe" designed and produced by RAAK Amsterdam, Netherlands, circa 1965. A refined example of Dutch mid-century design-Light, it illustrates RAAK's characteristic approach, which combines sculptural form with atmospheric lighting.
The suspension consists of two hand-blown smoked glass globes of two different sizes.
Globe 1 the largest, which measures 45 cm in length and 25 cm in diameter, with a total globe plus electrical assembly and canopy 125 cm, and then the second globe measures 33 cm in length and 21 cm in diameter with a total length including the electrical assembly and canopy of 88 cm. The total length of this chandelier is 125 cm.
Each globe is suspended at a different height from a central stainless steel canopy. The globes are fitted with aluminum tubes that are from the first edition, well before those in brass, creating a warm contrast with the warm tone of the smoked glass and the gray color of brushed aluminum, giving a sophisticated interplay of light and material. When lit, the lamp emits a soft, diffuse glow that highlights its elegant, floating composition.
Each globe bears the original RAAK label in the aluminum tube, confirming its authenticity. The fixture is in very good condition and shows a slight patina of use. A timeless, architectural luminaire, at once sculptural and atmospheric, ideal for dining rooms or living spaces with a modern and refined aesthetic.
An additional feature is the mounting of each globe, which is authentic with the 1965 RAAK chandelier, made from screws that screw into a brass-threaded housing, as seen in photo 1.
It is worth noting that the electrical wiring has been updated to current standards.
