Exceptional and highly decorative original Morse telegraph apparatus manufactured by A.B. L.M. Ericsson & Co., Stockholm, one of the most important Scandinavian pioneers in telecommunications history.
This model appears in Ericsson catalogues from the late 19th century, including around 1896, during the golden age of wired telegraph communication.

The apparatus is mounted on its original wooden base and retains its beautifully engineered brass, steel and nickel-plated mechanical components.
Included is the separate original Morse telegraph key.

A remarkable technical and historical display piece, representative of the early development of long-distance communication before the widespread adoption of the telephone.

At the end of the 19th century, Morse telegraph systems were essential for:
