This is a pith painting produced and exported from the Thirteen Factories of Guangzhou, China, during the Qianlong period of the last century. The scene depicts a family of noble status, including the lady of the house, her maid, and a male guest. The frame is 42 cm long and 31 cm wide, the painting itself is 29 cm long, 18 cm wide, and 1.6 cm thick, and weighs 933g. It has mold spots and cracks, and a small defect.
