Magnificent 19th Century an antique French Lampe Pigeon, a brass oil lamp popular in the late 19th and early 20th centuries.
The lamp is typically made of brass or bronze-colored metal and features a distinctive spherical clear glass globe.
Many of these lamps include original engravings on the base, such as "Garantie Véritable" (Genuine Guaranteed) or mentions of being "inexplosible" (non-explosive).
They are highly sought after by collectors of French industrial history and antique
Rare, old model, oil lamp, Pigeon lamp, with text on it. In good and working condition.
This Pigeon lamp probably dates from around 1900, as from around 1910 the text was inlaid instead of imposed.
Also with the text on the handle and the old wick holder. In very good and working condition.

Very decorative and an atmospheric lamp. that burns for a very long time. The oil lamp also contains a kind of cotton wool that absorbs the oil and releases it gradually.

Of course with slight traces of the ravages of time, but that also gives the lamp character.
