Zum Verkauf steht ein außergewöhnliches, großes und sehr seltenes Gipsmodell des legendären Trans Europ Express (TEE) der Deutschen Bundesbahn (Baureihe VT 11.5) aus den 1950er / 1960er Jahren. Dieses massive Ausstellungsmodell wurde in der Wirtschaftswunderzeit vermutlich als Blickfang für Reisebüros oder Bahnhöfe gefertigt.
Zustand & Restaurierung:
Das historische Modell wurde vor kurzem liebevoll und aufwendig restauriert sowie komplett neu coloriert, da die originale Bemalung über die Jahrzehnte stark gelitten hatte. Die charakteristischen Farben (Rot/Beige/Schwarz) sowie die goldenen Schriftzüge auf dem Sockel ("TEE - TRANS EUROP EXPRESS" und das "DB"-Logo) wurden dabei sauber von Hand nachgezeichnet. Das Modell befindet sich dadurch optisch in einem wunderschönen, wohnzimmerbereiten Zustand und ist ein perfektes Deko-Objekt für Eisenbahn-Liebhaber und Sammler von Mid-Century-Design.

Up for auction is an exceptional, large and very rare plaster model of the legendary Trans Europ Express (TEE) of the German Federal Railways (DB, Class VT 11.5) from the 1950s / 1960s. This solid display model was likely produced during the post-war economic boom as an eye-catcher for travel agencies or train stations.
Condition & Restoration:
The historic model has recently been lovingly and extensively restored and completely repainted, as the original paint had deteriorated significantly over the decades. The iconic colors (Red/Beige/Black) and the golden lettering on the base ("TEE - TRANS EUROP EXPRESS" and the "DB" logo) were neatly redone by hand. Thanks to this, the model is visually in beautiful, display-ready condition and serves as a perfect decorative piece for railway enthusiasts and mid-century design collectors.
