Original vintage reclining lounge chair produced by SCAB, Italy, dating from the late 1960s or early 1970s. The S.CAB maker’s mark is embossed on the original end caps of the armrests.
The chair has an elegant chromed tubular-metal frame and is woven with vivid orange plastic cord in a distinctive horizontal pattern. The cord is complete, flexible and in very good condition, with no significant breaks or brittle sections.
It can be adjusted to three different seating and reclining positions, as shown in the photographs. The integrated footrest folds out to create an extended lounge-chair configuration and folds back underneath the seat when not in use. The entire chair can also be folded for convenient storage.
All components are original, including the chromed metal frame, shaped armrests, adjustment mechanism, integrated footrest, plastic end caps and orange woven cord.
The chair has been preserved in its authentic vintage condition.
