CLEANING NOTE: In the technical auction form, "Professionally washed: No" is selected solely because this kilim is a vintage deadstock/gallery piece. It has never been used, walked on, or displayed. It is preserved in pristine, immaculate condition, which is why washing has never been necessary.
Extremely rare and exceptional monumental original Polish Mid-Century kilim (1960s/1970s), "Gubałówka" model. This masterpiece was designed by the celebrated artist Aleksandra Michalak-Lewińska and manufactured by ZWW Zakopane for the famous state cooperative Cepelia.
