A beautiful and highly iconic modernist Art Deco photo frame, dating from the interbellum period (ca. 1930).

This high-quality desk frame features a striking architectural Skyscraper design, very characteristic of the French modernist movement. The frame consists of a solid, sleek chrome-plated brass base with stepped geometric side pillers that securely hold two thick plates of original glass.

As a bonus, the frame contains a original period black-and-white studio portrait postcard of a young French navy sailor in uniform. The back of the postcard reveals the classic "Carte Postale" layout from the era.

A sophisticated and authentic piece of period decor that looks fantastic on a desk, mantlepiece, or cabinet.
