A refined and elegant French silver box dating to the late 19th century, crafted in Paris and bearing the retailer’s mark “Saint-Yves Paris”.

The piece is made of solid silver (.800 fineness), confirmed by the French boar’s head hallmark, traditionally used for small silver items. The interior is beautifully gilt (vermeil), offering both protection and a luxurious contrast to the exterior.

The decoration is particularly attractive: the surface is finely engine-turned (guilloché) with delicate wave patterns, enhanced by a hand-applied poinçonné dotted motif, creating a subtle yet lively texture that reflects the craftsmanship of the period.

The softly undulating, organic form is characteristic of the late 19th century / early Art Nouveau aesthetic, making this a charming and collectible object.
