卖家的描述
NEW Boujad Berber Rug — 200 × 300 cm — Abstract Multicolour on Ivory Wool — Handknotted in Morocco
Brand new, never used. Hand-knotted in the Boujad region of central Morocco, this rug belongs to one of the most expressive and collectible traditions in Berber weaving — a lineage known for its painterly freedom, bold use of colour, and compositions that read more like outsider art than decorative craft.
The design is entirely abstract and asymmetric: scattered motifs in emerald green, violet, terracotta, dusty rose, and slate blue float freely across a warm ivory wool ground, with no repetition and no imposed order. Organic silhouettes — arches, clouds, elongated forms — appear and dissolve across the surface, giving the piece an almost narrative, dreamlike quality. Each Boujad rug is unique by definition; this one is exceptional in the confidence and looseness of its composition.
The wool is hand-spun and dyed using traditional methods. The pile is dense and tactile, with the characteristic texture of authentic Boujad production — slightly irregular, full of life, impossible to replicate industrially. The ivory ground shows the natural warmth of unbleached wool.
At 200 × 300 cm, this is a statement piece for a living room, a creative studio, or any space that welcomes colour and character. It pairs effortlessly with raw materials — concrete, wood, linen — and holds its own against maximalist interiors equally well. Original knotted fringe, untouched. No chemical treatment, no repairs.
