Jonathan Wain – Pfizer labs missing ingredients - Bat (2022)
A powerful, highly-textured original contemporary mixed-media artwork by artist Jonathan Wain, titled "Pfizer labs missing ingredients - Bat".
Dating from 2022, this compelling 40 x 50 cm canvas beautifully expands on Wain's signature fusion of urban street art, sharp commentary, and expressive abstract painting. This piece features a striking palette shift, utilizing cool turquoise, sea green, pink, and white acrylic impasto built up into a deeply textured, distressed background.
The composition layers distinct stencilled graphics: a beautifully rendered monochrome mythical hippocampus figure floating at the top, balanced by a bold, stylized black bat silhouette at the centre. Intersecting the figures is the artist's iconic, raw block typography reading "PFIZER" in vivid yellow and "WHAT A BARGAIN" in piercing neon red. A brilliant piece of contemporary pop-art that commands attention.
