卖家的描述
Fine Iga-ware "Mimituki" (Eared) Flower Vase by Tanimoto Kei (b. 1948) - with Original Tomobako (Wooden Box)
Description:
This is a powerful and authentic Japanese Iga-ware (Iga-yaki) ceramic flower vase featuring classic "Mimituki" (lug handles/ears) on the sides. Crafted by the renowned contemporary Iga potter, Kei Tanimoto (谷本景).
The vase beautifully demonstrates the traditional aesthetic of "Wabi-Sabi." It features a rugged, earthy clay texture with a dynamic vertical incised mark ("Herame") scored into the body. The highlight of the piece is the stunning, natural green ash glaze (Vidro glaze) that melts and drips down elegantly from the rim.
On the bottom, the artist's signature crescent-moon-shaped mark is clearly visible.
Artist Profile:
Kei Tanimoto (born 1948 in Iga, Mie Prefecture) is a highly respected ceramic artist, son of the legendary potter Kosei Tanimoto. His works are celebrated both in Japan and internationally (including exhibitions in Europe and the US) for modernizing traditional Iga ware while preserving its ancient spirit.
Condition:
Excellent condition. No noticeable chips, cracks, or repairs. Please inspect the photos carefully for details. Comes with the original signed and sealed wooden box (Tomobako).
