卖家的描述
Massive Silver Ring 16.63g Modified Sultan with Calligraphic Seal of Solomon X-ray confirmed
Description: Item and Historical Modification:
An exceptionally heavy, handcrafted silver ring of unique construction. The central plate is an Ottoman silver 2 Kurus coin from the reign of Sultan Mehmed V 1327 AH / 1909 AD.
Scientific Material Verification (XRF Spectrometry):
Absolute material authenticity has been officially verified via multi point professional XRF (X-ray fluorescence) spectrometry analysis.
Ring Body / Base Construction:
Confirms an exceptional fine grade historical purity of 96.73% Silver (Ag) with authentic 0.01% Rhodium (Rh) trace elements.
Integrated Coin Center: Confirms a high-purity composition of 89.55% Silver (Ag), demonstrating an excellent historical silver alloy consistent with premium regional craftsmanship.
(Full screen spectrometry reports have been uploaded to the image gallery for complete transparency).
Microscopic analysis reveals that the coin's face has been historically modified. The original surface was manually ground down visible tool marks to create a flat field for a custom hand engraved inscription featuring a calligraphic Seal of Solomon. This reflects a traditional practice where coins were adapted as silver matrices for personal seals or decorative prestige objects.
Craftsmanship and Style:
The ring is a robust example of heavy granulation work, featuring hand applied silver spheres and twisted wire. While influenced by the Balkan school, the massive design and coarse granulation also share characteristics with Eastern Ottoman and Turkmen tribal jewelry, suggesting a broad regional influence or trade.
Technical Highlights:
Gilding:
Microscopic inspection shows significant remnants of original fire gilding in the recessed areas, confirming the ring was originally gold plated.
Gemstone:
Set with one natural, opaque red carnelian/agate with a waxy luster. The opposite setting is empty, showing authentic age related wear.
Technical Data:
Total Weight: 16.63 grams High status mass.
Coin Base: Silver 2 Kurus 18.1 mm.
Internal Diameter: 21 mm EU Size 66.
Condition:
Authentic, uncleaned patina. The central plate shows heavy manual abrasion and engraving as part of its historical transformation.
Shipping Note:
The item will be carefully packed and shipped exclusively as a fully insured parcel with declared value.
