A refined and highly decorative oval silver box crafted by the renowned English silversmith Deakin & Francis Ltd, hallmarked in Birmingham, 1938.
This elegant piece is beautifully proportioned and features a subtle yet sophisticated design. The lid is decorated with fine engine-turned linear engraving, creating a soft shimmering effect that plays beautifully with the light. Both the lid and base are finished with a delicate applied floral and scroll border, adding a touch of classic English charm and craftsmanship.
The interior retains its original warm-toned gilding, traditionally used to protect the silver and preserve contents—an indication of both quality and intended use.
