卖家的描述
Elegant antique washstand service produced by the renowned German manufacturer Villeroy & Boch at its Mettlach factory during the late Victorian / early Edwardian period.
The set is executed in ivory-white glazed ceramic decorated with a rich cobalt blue border enhanced by hand-applied gilt accents. The clean geometric decoration reflects the refined domestic aesthetic of the period and gives the ensemble a timeless appearance.
The lot comprises five matching pieces: a large water pitcher, wash basin, large covered sponge or soap box, and two smaller covered accessory containers. Original factory marks are present on the pieces.
Complete washstand services with multiple matching accessories are increasingly difficult to find, particularly from established European manufacturers such as Villeroy & Boch. The ensemble represents a fine example of turn-of-the-century bathroom and bedroom furnishing ceramics.
A decorative and collectible antique set suitable for display in traditional, Victorian, Edwardian, or country-house interiors.
