Superb and imposing ovoid-shaped ceramic art vase from the famous "Rimini Blu" collection, created in 1959 by the iconic designer and artistic director Aldo Londi for the prestigious Italian manufacturer Bitossi (Montelupo Fiorentino).
This piece stands out for its generous dimensions (XL format, 36 cm in height), which are highly sought after by Mid-Century design collectors for their impressive room presence and powerful visual impact.
The vase features the series' unique and iconic glaze—an intense, luminous turquoise blue enhanced with cobalt green and deep blue undertones, reminiscent of the Adriatic Sea. Its highly textured pattern was entirely hand-incised into the raw clay (chamotte earthenware) using traditional geometric stamps, creating chevron friezes, stylized abstract patterns, and vertical dotted lines.

Condition:
Very good original vintage condition for a piece of this size. The glaze beautifully retains its full brightness and rich color intensity. In keeping with the natural characteristics of these vintage raw clay items, there are some minor glaze flakes and light friction wear around the edge of the unglazed base, as well as a minor, original firing irregularity inside the upper rim (please refer to the detailed photographs, which form an integral part of the description). No major cracks or restorations. An excellent collector's piece.
