Three Chinese Export Famille Rose Tea Bowls, Qianlong Period (1735–1795)
A fine group of three Chinese Export porcelain tea bowls dating to the Qianlong period (1735–1795). Each bowl is hand-painted in delicate famille rose enamels and represents a different decorative style produced for the European market during the 18th century.
Two bowls are particularly interesting examples of Chinese Export Armorial Porcelain, made to special order for wealthy European families and decorated with monograms or heraldic-inspired devices. The third bowl is decorated with elegant floral sprays and garlands in typical Qianlong famille rose colours.
The porcelain is thinly potted with refined painting and attractive enamel colours. These tea bowls are excellent examples of the quality and variety of Chinese export wares produced during the height of the Qianlong era.
Dimensions
* Height: approximately 4–5 cm each
* Diameter: approximately 8–10 cm each
Condition
* Each bowl has one hairline crack.
* No restoration observed.
* Minor wear and firing imperfections consistent with age.
* Please examine all photographs carefully as they form an important part of the description.
