Sonia Anton is a Romanian-Australian contemporary artist whose work explores emotion, memory and human connection through colour, texture and form. Growing up surrounded by art in her mother’s atelier in the South of France, she developed an early appreciation for creativity and visual storytelling.

Having lived in Romania, Australia, Mexico, France and Spain, Sonia draws inspiration from diverse cultures, landscapes and personal experiences. Her paintings combine intuitive mark-making with contemporary aesthetics, creating works that feel both expressive and accessible.

Working primarily in acrylic on canvas, she embraces spontaneity and experimentation, allowing each piece to develop organically. Through abstraction and figurative elements, her work invites viewers to pause, reflect and discover their own meaning within the composition.
