This remarkable sphere has been carved from fossilized wood, formed through the process of permineralization in which the original organic structure of the tree was gradually replaced by silica over millions of years. The result is a durable mineral specimen that preserves traces of the ancient wood's internal anatomy while displaying extraordinary natural patterns and colours.

The sphere exhibits a particularly rich and dramatic palette, combining warm ivory and cream tones with deep burgundy, reddish-brown, black, and ochre shades.
