Hanging scroll painting with original box - 浜田三郎 Hamada Saburō (1924-) - 浮御堂 Ukimidō - Japan - Showa period

This is a beautiful sumi-e painting. It is stored in a Futomaki box. Futomaki boxes are thicker than regular hanging scroll boxes. Storing it in a Futomaki box helps keep the scroll in better condition. There are a few small stains and some fading due to age. Please check the photos.

Artist: 浜田三郎 Hamada Saburō (1924-)
He is a Japanese painter from Kanagawa Prefecture and studied under Maeda Seison 前田青邨. He is known for his delicate brushwork.
