The handles are crafted in solid French .950 silver, hallmarked with the Minerva Head 1st Standard, guaranteeing one of the highest silver standards used in Europe. The maker's mark is present but unfortunately no longer sufficiently legible to identify.

As is customary with quality French flatware from the late 19th and early 20th century, the handles are filled (weighted), providing excellent balance and strength. The functional serving parts are made of silver-plated metal, making the set both practical and elegant.
